springfield extravaganza

on friday, my team and i took a day trip out to springfield, ohio for the flea market extravaganza. i got a couple random knick-knacks, but, what i am most excited about is the glass juicer i snagged. these as some of my favorite pictures i took while i enjoyed my day out of the office, aimlessly roaming around the springfield.

a quest

what does a girl have to do for a great camera bag that 1.) isn't unbearably contrived or 2.) doesn't scream "i have a really expensive camera, please mug me"

the above bag is by far my favorite.

i have no information about it. the picture didn't say where its from or where to buy it or where to go if you were even thinking about buying it.

apparently googling "unique camera bags for women" really only gets you so far.

i do also lightweight like these canvas slings.

my favorite 59 cents ever spent.

first matter of frustration is it is so hard to find 6 x 6 frames or 4 x 4 frames for my diana prints. i am not crazy about putting every print in a frame, but it would be nice to put my favorites up in my already over framed apartment.

i found this sad little frame at goodwill for 59 cents.

it really is so nice to get away from columbus every now and then. sunday, after a weekend of laying extremely low with dollar movies and english breakfast tea, kayla, em and i headed to the hocking hills for some natural therapy.

Kodak Dualflex IV

i was telling joe as we were crouched down on the floor in the home decor section that there is no way that this thing works properly. almost seems too good to be true that this Kodak Dualflex IV came in the original box, with the flash attachment with extra bulbs WITH the owners manual. it takes 620 film which is still sold. and after some investigtaion there isn't really a reason why it wouldn't work properly!

my new new toy!

single handedly the most exciting this that has happened in a bit of time.

for my birthday (which is still well over a month away) i bought a canon rebel xs. i almost gave the mail guy at work a heart attack i'm sure when he delievered it to my desk this afternoon.

photography is something i have really gotten into since i bought my diana f+ last october before i went to new york on vacation and also since i inherited the nikon n2000 last month.

i couldn't take it anymore. i took the plunge.

i am going to new york city for 4 days right before my birthday in may and i desperatly wanted to have it for that trip. now, im all set.

emily flys back into columbus this evening, and in leu of an issue with my brakes i rode into work with kayla. i think we might stop at the hoover dam (the ohio one) and hang out with we wait for ems plane to get in. the weather here is notably beautiful.

snowed in

i cant remember the last time i have seen this much snow piled up. so i took the advantage of the fact that i didn't feel like leaving my apartment after i was in it for the night and started a project.

i recently got my Diana F+ film developed, and have been wanting to use chalkboard paint on something for forever now so i had an idea.

i was going to find some clipboard, paint chalkboard paint on them and use them as a neat way to put up my pictures in my room.

i put on Shout Out Louds' "Our Ill Wills" album and went to town.
